A forthcoming update to Apple Inc.'s 13-inch line of consumer MacBooks won't deliver much in terms of new features, AppleInsider has learned. Meanwhile, the dimensions of the company's ultra portable sub-notebook initiative are taking shape, with word that the ultra-thin and lightweight mobile Mac will be based around a 13-inch LED-backlit display.
Hehe. I m a Creative Fanboy actually. Anything to do with Creative is just my liking...except that it's sound bass needs more improvements..
Anyway, Creative Technology launched a collection of Creative X-Fi Xtreme Fidelity enabled products for the home at the "X-Fi Your Home" event in the showflat of the prestigious Condominium. It features X-Fi Crystalizer that restores the detail and vibrance to compressed music and movies and the X-Fi CMSS-3D that expands stereo MP3s and digital movies into surround sound over multichannel speakers, stereo speakers or even headphones.
Sound cool right? They've been doing all these Xi-fi marketing for many months, but yet...the problem is still there. The bass boost isn't good enough for it's customers. Comparing Cowon's D2 with creative products... you will be tremendously shock by the fact that Cowon's sound quality (Overall) outplays Creative Tech. Time to speed up Creative!
First, let me introduce what Creative Vision W is. Creative Vision W is a portable media player which allows users to enjoy widescreen entertainment such as music, movies, videos, microphone, radio and photos. Dimensions are:- 134mm x 75mm x 22mm. The weight is : 276g (with battery). Heavy isn't it? With built in speakers.
I have a Vision W for 4-5 months already. Overall, I m impress with the playback and the numerous formats that it could support. I love to toy around with the functions it has to offer! However, the downside is the battery life. With ONLY 13 hours of music playback and 4.5 hours of video....... I might as well get a Cowon D2 device, which has 52 hours of music playback and 10 hours of video. I do hope that Creative PTE LTD release an Extended battery life pack for the Vision W.
Comparison with the Ipod video:-
Advantages of Vision W over Ipod Video:->

200,000 + colours
Compact flash card reader.
Has a longer battery life for video playbacks
Better GUI (Graphical User Interface)
A/V out - which means you can watch videos on TV
Advantages of Ipod Video over Vision W:->
Scroll Wheel (The most powerful feature in ALL ipods)
