Nowicki Leja

Welcome to the Nowicki Leja family tree.This tree was started by Tomek, Dotka and  Danusia. Dotka querries the documents, Danusia interviews our relatives, Tomek merges and compares the tree with other trees.This site was created using MyHeritage. Even though most of the immediate family knows Polish we decided to use English as lingua franca because many memebers of the extended family live all over the world, speaking Lithanian, Russian, Ukrainian, German, Spanish, French and of course English. The tree is created around Nowicki,  Leja and Gazda families.But of course it spreads. At first it was created from our memories which were quite sparse and included a handful of Nowicki's,  Dowgird's, Leja's,Gazda's and Pankau's that we knew personally or heard about from our parents , aunts and uncles. But when we started to sort out the lines we tried the GENI.com site and stumbled upon a fantastic tree built and maintained by Viktorija Ruskuliene, that linked us through the Dowgird's to more than 7000 other people. And then we used the Smart Matches to build it even further.It seems that there is no end to this work.Please feel free to contact us about this site, and  you are welcome to join it as a member if you can find your name in the tree.We can understand Polish, English, French, German, Russian and some Latin. We can figure out Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Slovenian, Ukrainian but unfortunately not Lithuanian nor Hungarian nor any non-European languages.
